European Size Conversion Chart

In our children’s clothing UK to European conversion table below, we list first the UK size and then it’s EU equivalent to the right hand side of that.

European kids clothing is measured in centimetres, so another way to find the correct size for your requirements is to measure your child. We all know that “ages” is quite a hard way to buy clothing as kids come in all shapes and sizes and have their growth spurts at different times.

  • 12 months = 80 c.m.
  • 18 months = 80-86 c.m.
  • 24 months = 86-92 c.m.
  • 2-3 years = 92-98 c.m.
  • 3-4 years = 98-104 c.m.
  • 4-5 years = 104-110 c.m.
  • 5-6 years = 110-116 c.m.
  • 6-7 years = 116-122 c.m.
  • 7-8 years = 122-128 c.m.
  • 8-9 years = 128-134 c.m.
  • 9-10 years = 134-140 c.m.
  • 10-11 years = 140-146 c.m.
  • 11-12 years = 146-152 c.m.
Even though buying clothes for children online is, in general easy and straightforward these days, the different measurement standards for sizing can make your online purchase a little frustrating.
The last thing you want to do is have to return clothes because the size is wrong – even though kids grow so fast, so I always generally buy a size up which makes the chance of having to retun an item much less. If you liked this, you might like our kids clothes buying guide.
